Chihuly Garden and Glass

This stop was a first for me.  I'm glad we went here.  I really enjoyed the glass sculptures, although the Native American blanket display was probably my favorite.  I'm more of a textile girl I guess.

Space Needle

Even though I've done it a few times before, I was still happy to do it again this time with these great ladies.

Getting our shop on...Seattle trip continued

I'm glad this was a girls weekend because there would be no way I could Joe to go to all the stores we did.  We went to four malls: The Outlet Mall in North Bend, Southcenter, Bellevue Square, and Alderwood along with IKEA.  I loved it.  Photos: Christi snapped a shot of me on my throne in Nordstroms, Bailey was in HEAVEN at American Girl and IKEA had a cute Easter display while we were there.

Spring Breakin with my buddies

This year's Spring Break schedules of the kids' and Joe's were two weeks apart.  Joe's first then the kids' two weeks later.  There was not going to be a chance to get away all together at once (probably not next year either).  Joe was so gracious and took on staying home and taking care of the kids during his spring break while I escaped for some much needed girl time with my besties in Seattle.  We had so much fun!  I loved it.  I loved the city, I loved being with them.  I just loved it.  These are some pics of our first day.
We walked around Pike Street Market.  I had to make sure to get some of my favorite donuts.  They added a new flavor since the last time I was there...maple bacon.  They did not disappoint. We did a little shopping and also found the gum wall.  I know a lot of people think it's so gross, but I loved it.  It was so colorful and unique, a work that I could never (would never) duplicate. We went on the Argossy Harbor Tour, which I had not done before.  It was a guided hour tour of the Harbor.  Christi didn't have her sea legs and got a little sick, but battle through.  We made it to the Aquarium that day too, which was another site I had never explored.  There were some really beautiful displays.  I used my phone camera for this trip because it rained almost the entire time and I didn't want to lug my big camera all around.

Sweet Laur

We love our Lauren.  She brings a softness to our family.  She is the heart of us, right in the middle.
Choices, choices...

Cutest little bunny around

She is looking so much older every day.

Spring blossoms in her hair

A natural beauty.

Teacher Appreciation Night

For our combined YM/YW activity in March, we celebrated teachers.  The youth each invited a teacher that has influenced them to come and have dinner with them and to listen to a small speech prepared by them explaining their gratitude for them.  It was a great night, that happened to be on St. Patrick's Day which made the choice for the theme of the night easy...Some say lucky, we call it blessed to have a teacher like you.  Caleb and another youth invited their math teacher, and he came!
I thought it took a lot of courage for them to invite their teachers and I was proud of them.

Caleb was hiding, but he's seated at this table with other youth and his teacher

More lumpia, George and Suess

Left over lumpia wraps = more lumpia!  Joe is awesome at rolling lumpia.  Mine looked more like clumsy spring rolls.  His looked just like his mom's.

Liam wanted me to take a pic of him and George going to sleep.

Isn't she so cute in her hat for Dr. Suess day at school.
